Off lead puppy socialisation sessions - immediate start for puppies booking onto puppy or junior courses if under 5 months old.
You can start your socialisation session with your pup one week from the first vaccination, as advised by local veterinarians. We will book your puppy into a socialisation session for the following week your call - there is no need to wait.
Starting in the New Year (taking bookings through the contact page now) Our Junior training course is for dogs aged 16 weeks upwards and is perfect for re-training cues around distractions and providing your dog with that much needed mental stimulation.
The socialisation of a puppy dips at about 12 weeks and then starts to come to an end around 16 weeks. Pups must have off lead socialisation with other puppies in order to learn communication signals in a safe way, and to learn that other dogs are fun.
Just introducing your puppy to a few adult dogs during the socialisation period is not enough to ensure a friendly adult dog. It is possible that an adult dogs your pup meets may react in a domineering or antisocial way to your puppy and this may intimidate or frighten a new pup that is already dealing with coming away from their litter mates and mum.
NEXT MEETING: CALL FOR LOCATION AND FURTHER INFORMATION.
Meeting other sociable dogs and people for walks and evenings out.
We welcome people that have completed the course to come up with suggestions for meals, drinks and walks. Suggesting dates and places to go.
Email through the contact page if you have suggestions or have done the courses and wish to join. You will once again need to be responsible for yourself, your children, and your dog. So for safety reasons please take your own drink, snack and first aid kit and don't go wandering alone.
Dogs must be kept on lead around livestock and please pick up! (we know you will anyway).
Thank you
